Podcast NYC: Pop Culture Rant #48
In my second life Angelina Jolie would adopt me I'm sure. Can you handle sixty minutes of ranting action? Somehow I think CBS doesn't feel this is a threat to the real thing. They're full of it anyway. That show is only about 45 minutes when you factor in the commercials.

Thanks for the show - it's great. I'm with you on the seating on planes, but you shouldn't be complaining about a three hour flight. I did London to Boston and back last month, and the outwards flight was fine - I had a seat with a window on my left (in coach on a 747), and nobody reclined on me. A pleasant flight - got lots of work done on my laptop and got to see Newfoundland and New England out the window. The London security are bastards - they broke my headphones when I was going through.
On the way back though, I got crammed in the aisle seat next to an American man who snored all the way back to London and kept elbowing me in the ribs.
I made the mistake of not checking in online on either of the flights - I really should have done so. I love Seatguru though. Superb idea.
I'm with Tom...you got nothing to complain about Robert. I regularly do Sydney to LA - 15 hours of misery beats your 3 hours :)
Couldn't agree more with you about Second Life. Sad folks living there.
Nice to hear you again. It's actually kinda nice that you're irrefular and not too often.
Thanks for the comments folks. I see that I get no sympathy from those who do the long haul flights.
I can understand that sentiment. I rarely fly on trips longer than four hours with only a couple of five hour trips each year. So for me the shorter trips are the thing. Any time I spend on the plane I want to be comfortable though. And I really like to get work done since those hours are not freebies in my biz.
I did the L.A. to Sydney run once a few years back but was fortunate enough to be able to use mileage to upgrade to first class. It was a very pleasant experience and made me feel bad for the folks who had to gut it out in regular coach seating.
