Podcast NYC: Pop Culture Rant #43
Plenty to rant about this week. I got my hands on some Howard Stern content without having to lay down bucks for a Sirius receiver and subscription. And I've been listen to David Lee Roth in the morning and via his podcast. So who wins in the battle of these celebrity titans? Tune in to find out. Regarding Howard Stern in Canada: As a Canadian I still can't figure that one out. The CRTC (Canadian equivalent of the FCC) has been adamant about not letting Stern in while there are countless homegrown shows (like the wonderful Trailer Park Boys) that are equally if not more crude. I can understand wanting to promote Canadian content, but it just seems to me that his show is being singled out for some reason.
BTW, Stern was finally added to the Sirius lineup in Canada within the last couple of weeks.
I just discovered your rant and I enjoyed it so much that I've chosen to promote it on my own podcast by sampling a few seconds from it.
My podcast is in Maltese, a language I imagine you don't understand. However, I write about its contents in English on my blog.

I was an avid listener before the holiday break but hadn't listened for a few months after. I'm finally getting a chance to catch up on all the episodes that missed since New Years. You have an excellent program! I'm so sorry to hear about what happened to your wife. Hope she is feeling better!
