The folks at Podshow and Odeo must really be feeling the heat now. GarageBand.com has debuted Garage Band Podcast Studio. Just one more entrant into the category of podcast enabling tools and services. According to their site:

* Record by phone or Upload audio files from your computer.
* Mix your recordings with 100,000's of podcast-ready tracks in our catalog.
* Publish your mix...

... and with just a few clicks your new podcast is live! All you need to do next is field calls from radio stations offering you a job.

What does it cost? Nothing!

The recording they are referring to is by phone and it's not yet up and running. But they will let you mix in music tracks directly from the Garage Band site. Does this signal the end of my Podsafe Music page? Not yet, but this is an exciting development for bands looking to get their music into a podcast.
