On this weeks episode we feature modern rock band Clio, whose songwriting skills and musicianship make you wonder why they're still podsafe? All the better for us because we get to enjoy some high quality music from these three gentlemen. Let's hope these guys get the recognition they deserve AND SOON!

We play tracks off of Clio's current EP, Letting Go as well as a some demos off of their forthcoming EP, Around. Check out Clio's website at http://www.cliomusic.com.

Podcast NYC: Alley Cuts #5

We push the ladies to the fore on this episode of Alley Cuts.

Starting off we've got Salme Dahlstrom, a dance pop dynamo who delivers high energy tracks with thumping beats and tasty hooks. It's very obvious that Salme has been honing her skills since it's not easy to pull of this difficult combination of dance friendly production and pop music charm. Get the latest news and more info on Salme at http://www.salmedahlstrom.com/.

Tracks On The Show: Hello California, Take It Off, I Don't Wanna Be In Love, G.L.S.

Next up, Melanie Disa takes us into her world of carefully crafted, emotional music. Melanie is a singer/songwriter who delivers heartfelt pop music with just a bit of a country touch. Though she's been compared to Sheryl Crow and Alison Krauss, Melanie has a talent and sound that is all her own. We feature cuts from Melanie's EP True. Stop by Melanie's website at http://www.melaniedisa.com.

Podcast NYC: Alley Cuts #3

Chris Yurchuck is the featured artist on this episode of Alley Cuts. Chris is what I would call a professional musician/singer/songwriter. His highly appealing blend of pop, rock and country music sounds as good as anything you're likely to hear on the radio today. The quality of the songwriting, production and musicianship is evident in each of the six tracks featured in this segment. Chris has an upbeat vibe that translates well in his music. Don't be surprised if you find yourself humming one of his tunes as you go about your day. Check out Chris Yurchuck on the web at http://www.chrisyurchuck.com.

Tracks on the Show: Coming Attractions, Mrs. Jones, Running Undercover, Karma, Senorita, Hiding Out From You

PLUS - A "sneak peak" cut from an artist on the next episode of Alley Cuts.

Hard rock band Bastardo and anti-folk hero Joe Bendik make the scene on this episode of Alley Cuts.

Bastardo is a four piece rock band hailing from New York City. Their songs tell tales of tough times slugging it out to survive in the iron jungle. Don't be fooled by their tough, street attitude. These guys craft tunes with sweet spots that make you want more. Featuring four tracks off of their album Razorblade Tightrope. Check out Bastardo on the web at http://www.supervillain.net.

Tracks on the Show - Gone, Use Me, Supervillain and Angelface

Joe Bendik is an artist that cannot be pigeon holed. He combines elements of folk, country, gospel, punk and pop to create a sound that is truly original. Joe is one of the founding artists on the downtown New York anti folk scene, marked by an uncompromising approach and influential artistry. Thankfully, Joe is still setting the standard for all those who want to be alternative. Check out Joe on the web at http://www.joebendik.com.
